As the director of Farm Program Services, Matthew Farrell is a leader in providing producers and landowners with the advantages they need for making informed farm program decisions. He is specialized in helping commodity, permanent, and specialty crop farmers, dairy and livestock operations, and landowners with strategic advisory on USDA FSA farm programs, legislative guidance, farm bill governance, and farm financial solutions.

Matthew Farrell works across the United States, serving ag producers and landowners from coast-to-coast and helping them with operation and ownership changes to capture opportunities and avoid potential pitfalls.  He has a passion for ensuring farms are fully utilizing the USDA farm programs as part of their risk management and disaster assistance strategies.

Growing up in Laurel, Mississippi, his first job was shelling peas at a fruit and produce stand. Hands on, his love for the business side of agriculture continues to grow with each passing season. Matthew believes that mutual trust is the foundation for success in business relationships. This means telling producers the information they need to hear—although sometimes it’s not what they want to hear—in an understandable, no-nonsense way so they can make their best business decisions.
