Michelle Ellis leads the firm’s business valuation practice. With more than 20 years of experience in accounting and financial analysis, she provides objective valuation guidance to business owners, investors, and advisors as they move through important decisions and transitions.
Michelle’s approach combines deep technical knowledge with practical insight. She has worked with clients in complex situations involving ownership changes, financial shifts, and changing market conditions. Her background in financial statement analysis, internal controls, and audit engagements gives her a strong ability to identify risk, interpret financial performance, and evaluate the factors that influence business value.
As a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA), Michelle has extensive experience valuing closely held businesses across a wide range of industries. Her work supports clients in estate and gift planning, ownership changes, buy-sell agreements, and long-term planning decisions. She is known for providing clear, practical guidance that helps clients understand the value of their business and make confident financial decisions.
Prior to joining Pinion, Michelle was a Partner and Manager at Stoughton Davidson Accountancy Corporation and spent several years with Deloitte & Touche LLP, where she built a strong foundation in audit and financial reporting. These experiences allow her to bring both depth and perspective to each engagement while maintaining a client-focused, relationship-driven approach.
