On November 6, 2023 – Family business advisor, Davon Cook of Pinion, was announced and honored recently as a Fellow of the Family Firm Institute (FFI) at the FFI Global Conference in New York, New York.

The prestigious FFI Fellow status signifies that Davon has completed an advanced program of study as part of the Family Firm Institute’s Global Education Network (GEN), presented at FFI annual conferences or published in FFI publications, and has been a member of FFI for more than 10 years.

Davon, a principal at Pinion, works with family and closely-held agricultural businesses to provide guidance around long-term planning and family goal-setting for ownership and management.

“I’ve learned much through my involvement with FFI over the years,” shares Davon. “The education program and the interaction with other family enterprise advisors has helped me bring the best advice and tools to our clients.”

Fellow status is awarded to individuals who have achieved comprehensive professional knowledge and gained significant expertise that can be used as value to family enterprise members, including those with operating businesses and/or family offices.

“As a Fellow, Davon has demonstrated a deeper understanding of the needs of family-owned enterprises and the many roles these multi-generational companies play in local, national and global economies,” said Judy Green, President of the Family Firm Institute.

Participants have access to cutting edge information and resources through FFI’s multidisciplinary educational programs that advance family enterprises worldwide by enabling collaboration between family enterprise advisers and consultants and researchers and academics, creating a global network of professionals.
