With one day left until the July 14, 2023 deadline to submit ERP Phase 2 and PARP applications, the Farm Service Agency (FSA) has issued a new notice for producers.

FSA will now allow a register to exist for PARP.  This comes on the heels of an announcement that ERP Phase 2 would include the use of registers.  (View details on the July 11, 2023 ERP Phase 2 FSA notice here.)

What does this mean for producers applying for PARP?

Pinion’s Director of Farm Program Services, Bill Penn, says, “We understand some FSA County Offices are being reluctant to start a register if they feel they have staff time available to complete the application now. We encourage producers to inform their County Office that they are fully ready to initiate the ERP Phase 2 and/or PARP applications at this time but believe that changes will need to be made to that application based on changes that have been made in program procedure.”

Producers are advised to proceed with the submission of applications.  Reach out to a Pinion Farm Program Services advisor with questions.
